First of all thank God for giving me this opportunity to study and work in Australia. Without your blessings, I wouldn’t be here in Australia now.
There is one Godly reason behind how I came to know about ABE Services, Thrissur. I tried many other agencies and came to know that they are only interested to get me into one among the institution which will pay them the most. So I enquired about James Cook University to them. But they were redirecting me to the James Cook University, Brisbane (Which I came to know is run by an entirely different organization and have very little to be compared with the real campus in Townsville).
So I was bit confused and sad that I’m not getting any option to join a good reputed university. Then one day, one guy from my church (who knows only a little about my plans to go to Australia) approached me and told me to go and check the newspaper about an advertisement regarding abroad studies. So I read the ad and called to the number in the newspaper. From that moment onwards, they were taking good care of me and my dreams. That agency was ABE services, Thrissur. Before that call, I have been trying with other agencies for at least 2-3 months. On the other hand, in ABE, I received a very fast processing. Even though there was only two staff at their Thrissur office (I only remember the name of Phibin), they were doing amazing things. I applied, received my COE and Visa in just 2-3 weeks’ time. The service and processing of applications at ABE services are just amazing. I’m really thankful to them for making the fruitful efforts to help me get into one of the top ranked university in the world. Go ABE!
Also I would like to give some tips to the students who are trying to come to Australia. They are:
- The study and research standards in Australia are really better than any other Indian institution. But, make sure you read the pre-requisites for the course which you intent to join. Because we have the study background from India. So it is little hard in the beginning to cop-up with the teaching methods and learning resources. So, join for the course which you really have interest in. Don’t enrol otherwise. You’ll regret it.
- Getting a job in Australia is getting tougher and tougher day by day. So don’t think everything will be so easy. And once you start living in here, you’ll feel it’s little hard to make enough for you to pay the bills (Rent, groceries, travel, etc.). Paying the whole tuition fees on time only by depending on your part-time job is not even in the picture. There is strict restrictions here for the students to not to work more than 40 hours per fortnight (When there is classes in session). You can work unlimited on vacations. So it’s always a good option for the students to at least have a partial fees loan from India. You can pay that all back easily once you land on a good job after your studies.
- You must do your research about the university you are applying to and about the place and job opportunities before you apply.
